Jens Potreck, R&D manager Pentair X-Flow, is invited to present at the ProcessNet Meeting Membrantechnik Köln from March 6-10, 2017.
During 5 days ProcessNet technical specialist and engineers will meet and speak about diverse topics, such as absorption, extraction and membrane techniques.
On Thursday March 9, Jens Potreck will present at 11:30 a.m. during the sessions about membrane techniques and processes. He will discuss the breakthrough Helix flux enhancement technology that Pentair applies in tubular wastewater treatment membranes. This technology features a helical shape on the inside of a tubular membrane, creating continuous turbulence to prevent rapid fouling—a common occurrence in high-solids ultrafiltration. By introducing turbulence right at the membrane wall, the Helix technology provides continuous mixing and efficient removal of the cake layer that would otherwise reduce the membrane's hydraulic permeability. The resulting higher permeate flow contributes to higher productivity and lower energy costs.
