On August 31th, 2017 a group of international students from Italy, Romania and The Netherlands participated in a Pentair lecture and site visit of our partner Waterboard Vechtstromen.
These lectures and visit are part of the Eramus Plus-project EnvyJobs Live Labs which takes place from August 27 to September 9, 2017, and is organized by the chair International Water Technology of Saxion University of Applied Sciences. The EnvYJobs project aims to enhance students’ knowledge in environmental engineering and to make their skills and competences more attractive for their (future) employees. For the same target Pentair and Saxion are already working together for many years.
The Live Lab in The Netherlands offer to the fifty students from University Politehnica of Bucharest (Romania), University of Trento (Italy) and Saxion University of Applied Sciences (The Netherlands) a blended program of various activities. One of the activities were guest lectures of our Pentair R&D employees Patrick van Lierop, Sandra Kiel and Henry Hamberg. These lectures highlighted membrane technology and wastewater applications (anaerobic MBR and aerobic MBR).
After the lectures the group visited the hybrid wastewater treatment plant Ootmarsum combining the conventional activated sludge process with the aerobic AirLift MBR. They got a guided tour from Pentair and our partner Waterboard Vechtstromen.
The goal of Pentair is to stimulate and attract new talent for membrane technology and our company. This embraces our role as global leader in membrane innovation.
