     Pentair’s Water segment designs, manufactures, markets, and services innovative water solutions for the toughest filtration, separation, flow and water management challenges in agriculture, aquaculture, foodservice, food and beverage processing, swimming pools, water supply and disposal, and a variety of industrial applications.      Job Summary



     JOB PURPOSE

    The General Accountant is a key member of the Primary Accounting Centre team that is responsible for the timely completion of month-end close activities, intercompany activities, financial reporting and analyzing results while maintaining a strong control environment.





    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS



    Financial reporting



    Preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Pentair policies and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.



    Intercompany billings, Intercompany reconciling and intercompany netting



    Preparation of journal entries for multiple entities, including recurring journal entries.



    Preparation of account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner.



    Loading of data into HFM and blackline



    Preparation of Statutory, USGAAP and Internal audits, financial statements and varied fiscal reports



    Monthly reporting internal management regarding progress cost centers

    Internal control



    Execution and testing of the (monthly) SOX controls, 3rd Party-controls and other internal controls including the documentation and reporting



    Identify and implement opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the controllership processes through Lean tools



    Review compliance with the Pentair third party program



    Manage the fixed assets register and reconcile to the general ledger

    Other



    Declaration WBSO and other subsidies



    Ad hoc analysis as requested by management;



    Declaration taxes, CBS, CIS and other

    Job Requirements & Skills



    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



    Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S.) or equivalent in accounting or finance required.



    Experience: minimum of years in accounting and controlling in a multinational manufacturing organization.



    Systems: Word, Excel, Outlook, HFM.



    SAP and HFM experience is mandatory.

    DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS



    The candidate must be comfortable with complex accounting matters and demonstrate competency in US GAAP, current accounting regulations and internal controls.



    The candidate must demonstrate ability to identify and implement process improvements.



    Accountability and Drive for Results – strong customer focus and collaborative skills.



    The candidate must have strong communication (oral and written) and relationship building skills.



    Fluent in English (written and spoken).

    Process Engineer

    Pentair Flow & Filtration Solutions ontwikkelt en levert wereldwijd innovatieve membraantechnologie voor filtratie- en zuiveringsprocessen. De membranen van X-Flow worden onder andere ingezet voor het produceren van drinkwater en het zuiveren van afvalwater. Pentair is daarnaast gespecialiseerd in kiezelgoervrije Bier Membraan Filtratie en brouwerijprojecten en levert oplossingen voor het effectieve (her)gebruik van water in de bier-, frisdrank- en voedingsmiddelen-industrie.

    Voor de afdeling Process Engineering & Commissioning zoeken wij een

    Process Engineer

    Taken en verantwoordelijkheden

    Adviseren van de klant ten aanzien van het proces technisch ontwerp.

    Het (proces)technisch beoordelen van offerteaanvragen op volledigheid en haalbaarheid en vastleggen van ontwerpuitgangspunten voor projecten.

    Het bespreken en verkrijgen van technische specificaties en de eisen/wensen van (inter)nationale klanten.

    Interpreteren van relevante procesdata (pilot gegevens, water analyses) t.b.v. het procesontwerp.

    Maken van de procesontwerp, documenten, tekeningen en/of handleidingen rekening houdend met de eisen/wensen van de (inter)nationale klant.

    Aanvragen en technisch beoordelen van aanbiedingen van leveranciers.

    Uitvoeren en beoordelen van procesreviews op de engineering van de klant.

    Uitvoeren en beoordelen van proces technische risico analyses t.b.v. garanties.

    Voorbereiden en uitvoeren van proces technische inbedrijfstelling van onze installaties wereldwijd.

    Adviseren en ondersteunen van de service afdeling bij troubleshooting bij bestaande installaties.

    Op basis van evaluaties van projecten op stellen van verbetervoorstellen voor de eigen afdeling en/of voor de afdeling productmanagement.

    Rapporteert aan de Manager Process Engineering.

    Functie eisen

    Afgeronde HBO opleiding in de richting procestechnologie of gelijkwaardig.

    Minimaal 5 jaar werkervaring als Process Engineer  in de levensmiddelenindustrie.

    Ervaring met en kennis van membraantechnologie is een pre.

    Reizen en werken in het buitenland is een onderdeel van de functie.

    Goede mondelinge en schriftelijke uitdrukkingsvaardigheden in de Nederlandse en Engelse taal.

    Als Process Engineer bent u een proactieve teamplayer die de balans tussen klantwensen en technische mogelijkheden kan maken. Je bent in staat in een soms hectische omgeving goed te acteren; de competenties organisatievermogen, resultaatgerichtheid en flexibiliteit staan hierbij centraal.

    JOB SUMMARY

    Reporting to the Vice President European Operations, the individual selected will be tasked with development, implementation and sustainment  of world class lean manufacturing principles and disciplines, all while keeping a customer focused attitude. Key measures of performance include: safety, quality, on-time delivery, lead time reduction, cost productivity, and inventory improvement.  A special focus on organizational development and talent planning will be a key component of the role as well.


    ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Drive overall operational excellence through the application of  best-in-class lean practices and processes.  Champion implementation of the Pentair Integrated Management System (PIMS) Lean Enterprise principles and processes.
    • Address key business performance challenges through structured problem solving based on root cause identification and corrective action.
    • Identify and address manufacturing issues and drive excellence in: SQDCC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Cash).  Lead daily operations.  Drive processes to support lean (e.g. – SIOP, E&O, Inventory Management process).   
    • Establish and achieve performance goals and objectives for factory operations.  Provide feedback and corrective action to achieve goals and objectives.
    • Build capabilities, tools and processes to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO).     
    • Focus on talent and organizational development, develop an effective succession planning process, and creates a culture focused on continuous improvement.
    • Build a strong operations talent base.  Partner with human resources to develop talent management strategies.  
    • Institute and exemplify a culture of accountability, positive energy and teamwork.
    • Lead daily operations ensuring customer expectations are consistently satisfied, products and services always meet the quality specifications and all resources are fully utilized to provide a cost-effective product and service.     
    • Manage labor utilization and variable costs (supplies, energy, tooling, maintenance, etc) to budgeted targets and volume. 
    • Develop and manage to the approved capital expenditure plan.
    • Enforce company safety regulations and improve safety culture and procedures.  
    • Support and maintain nondiscriminatory practices in accordance with Affirmative Action Program.  
    • Promote good public relations in the local community.  
    • Support and execute special projects and tasks as assigned.
    • Support and partner with the Strategic Business Unit Leader on growth and operations strategies.


    Job Requirements & Skills
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Education:

    BS or BA degree plus 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing

    (preferred degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Operations)

    Masters’ Degree in Business (MBA) desirable but not mandatory


    EXPERIENCE
    • Plant operations, lean and materials experience.  Quality and manufacturing engineering are a plus.
    • Experience in managing chemical processes.
    • Preferred experience and understanding of polymers, fiber extrusion and water chemistry.
    • Previous experience in demonstrating positive leadership in areas such as finance, manufacturing and materials.  
    • Must have demonstrated experience working effectively across a site to develop and strengthen key business relationships.  
    • Excellent analytical and communication skills. Experience with change management and driving continuous improvement activities. 
    • Demonstrates clear understanding of all tasks and processes within manufacturing.  
    • Previous experience/ strong understanding of budgeting/ expense management with a moderate understanding of financial accounting principles.
    • Has a high level of technical competence in employee management, assembly operations, continuous improvement techniques, quality systems, replenishment systems, Lean Manufacturing strategies, and manufacturing technologies.  
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy (MS Office Suite).

    Physical & Mental Demands:  Stress created with volume of work and time constraints necessary to complete.  Travel as required by car, air, etc.  Work environment is an office attached to manufacturing plant with machine noise and lift truck traffic.  Temperatures in plant vary by season.
