The first Colourfield is being opened in India in the first week of December. Colourfield is a fully-installed mini sports arena that combines clean water with a social sports education program that features sport facilities and a learning center. Installing a Colourfield in a (semi)urban area helps to provide safe and secure sports facilities for children and provides safe water.

The innovative technologies of the Colourfield provides solar energy and up to 1,000 liters of clean water per hour. The artificial grass and sub base of the system are made from recycled materials. Solar panels provide the energy for the lighting, and rainwater can be collected by a tensile cover and by the pitch sub base. Available rain- and well water is stored underneath the sports pitch and is filtered through a purification system based on ultra-filtration, similar to the Greensource system.

Colourfield is an initiative of Dutch Sports Infrastructure (DSI) and is part of the Partners for International Business (PIB) program. DSI collaborates with sports organizations and the Dutch government to develop the sports infrastructure in India.

At the festive opening in the first week of December the minister of sports of India, former footballer Frank Rijkaard and former hockey player Floris Jan Bovelander will be present. Pentair will be present on the Indo-Dutch Pavilion. Ajit Tulo, our Engineering Director of Pentair will give a short presentation about Pentair. On the ‘Innovation Wall’ the Watermiracle, the Lineguard and the Greensource system will be presented. Our Pentair employee Mahendra Kumar, our Regional Sales Manager, will be present to answer product questions.
