Developed for heavy-duty applications such as produced water treatment or oily wastewater streams, Crossflow XL separates clean water from high solids streams (more than 1,000 ppm) and removes oil from water by applying hydrophilic PVDF tubular membranes. Crossflow XL skids are typically built for large-scale solutions.
The Crossflow XL skids are mainly used for industrial wastewater streams with oil content and produced water applications. The X-Flow Compact 75G module was especially developed for such demanding tasks, and applies X-Flow Helix technology to counter fouling and enhance flux rates. The high-strength GRP membrane housings have flange connections on both the feed and permeate side, and high chemical resistance.
Crossflow XL is used in applications such as water injection and re-injection, steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) and Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) or Chemical Enhanced Oil Recovery (CEOR).
The robustly designed Crossflow XL skids are available in four sizes: 1x8 modules, 2x8 modules, 3x8 modules and 4x8 modules, with performances ranging respectively from approximately 50 to 100, 150 and 250 m3/h.
For capacities under 50 m3/h the Crossflow MBR can be considered.
